Below are Shelly’s tips for getting you out and moving in 2015. One of the things Shelly suggests is getting new gear. Amen sister Amen. That’s probably one of the coolest ways to get yourself motivated to hit the gym. Over the holidays, Shelly and I talked about all of the great workout gear that is on the market now, as well as developing a line of our own. What an experience that will be, but for now I want to show workout gear I love. Nike is definitely my favorite. When the girls and I go shopping, I always gravitate to that section.
5 New Year Fitness Tips
1. DON’T FALL FOR DIET FADS.
There is only 1 way to get in shape and stay in shape and that is to put in the hard work.
2. JOIN A GYM.
You can join a gym for only $10/month. Start with twice a week and you’ve already got your money’s worth. And you’ll always have a place to go workout.
3. START NEW FOOD HABITS.
Don’t eat after 7pm. Or no sweets after lunch. Or drink at least 2 bottles of water a day. Start by trading 1 bad habit with 1 good habit.
4. FIND A WORKOUT PARTNER.
You have friends looking to get fit and stay fit just like you. Set a time to meet and hold each other accountable.
5. NEW WORKOUT GEAR.
Get new sneakers, a new outfit or water bottle and be inspired. Get all the things you need to get you going.
PREPARATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS
If you have the right mindset to reach your goals, then you will see great results. Start 2015 off on the right foot.
